Ten member states have notified transposition of European PNR directive

On Friday 25 May, ten member states had transposed the European Passenger Name Record (PNR) Directive that enables European airline companies and those operating in the EU to collect the data of passengers going outside the EU or entering the EU in order to prevent the threat of terrorism.  The deadline for transposing this directive was 25 May, while the directive itself was adopted on 24 May 2016.  The Commission said that other notifications of transposition of this directive that was...
