Concerned at failure of talks, EU continues support for IGAD

25/05/2018 (Agence Europe) – When asked to comment on the failure of the South Sudan peace talks in Addis Ababa following the rejection on Wednesday 23 May of the agreement proposed by the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), the EU expressed concern on Friday 25 May and restated its support for IGAD. “The failure of the parties to make the necessary compromise in the interest of the people of South Sudan is disappointing”, said the European External Action Service...
