06/03/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 6 March, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini announced that South Korea's Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha would take part in the EU Foreign Affairs Council on 19 March. The security adviser to the South Korean president had announced earlier in the day that a summit between North Korea and South Korea would take place at the end of April – the first in over ten years. Together with Kang Kyung-wha, the EU Foreign Affairs Council is expected to hear about the state of play in the Korean peninsula and to work on how the EU could support this "first encouraging step".
