Bulgarian Presidency of Council proposes that entire European heavy duty vehicle fleet is equipped with smart tachographs by 2029

In a compromise text on the revision of regulations 561/2006 and 165/2014 that EUROPE has consulted and which is currently being discussed by a Council working group, the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union is calling for the compulsory installation of smart tachographs on the entire European goods and passenger transport vehicle fleet as from 31 December 2028.
