General Court finds in favour of Coca-Cola against Mitico's attempts to register EC mark 'Master'

On Thursday 7 December, the General Court of the European Union (EGC) upheld the appeal of the American giant Coca-Cola, cancelling a 2015 decision of the EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) (case T-61/16).

The EUIPO had for the second time rejected the American company's opposition to the Syrian company Mitico's authorisation to register the EC mark for the sign 'Master', which uses the same font as Coca-Cola.
