Ministers strengthen eu-LISA mandate to prepare it for interoperability of information systems

On Thursday 7 December, the EU's interior ministers adopted their general approach, without debate, on the new rules for the eu-LISA agency.  This agency is tasked with the operational management of large-scale IT systems within the area of freedom, security and justice.  The EU Council can now begin negotiations with the European Parliament, Estonia's Interior Minister Andres Anvelt stated.  The European Parliament's civil liberties committee adopted its report on this subject on...
