Green light to prolongation of Polish bank guarantee scheme

07/12/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 7 December, the European Commission approved the prolongation of a Polish bank guarantee scheme until 31 May 2018.  The scheme provides state guarantees for different types of solvent credit institutions in Poland.  The Commission found the prolongation to be in line with state aid rules and its 2013 banking communication because the scheme is well targeted, proportionate and limited in time and scope.  The scheme was initially approved in...
