European Parliament endorses inter-institutional agreement to strengthen directive on carcinogens and mutagens

25/10/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 25 October, the European Parliament adopted (540 votes for, 6 against and 119 abstentions) the inter-institutional agreement reached with great difficulty last June under the Maltese Presidency of the Council of the EU (see EUROPE 11827) to strengthen Directive 2004/37/EC on the protection of workers exposed to the dangers of carcinogens or mutagens in the workplace.  Eleven agents were added to the list of hazardous substances, value limits were...
