Parliament puts veto on authorisation of MON1507 and other GMOs for food

In Strasbourg on Tuesday 24 October, the European Parliament once again vetoed the EU marketing authorisation of a number of varieties of genetically modified organisms – one maize, one oilseed rape and one soybean – for reasons of public health and protection of the environment.
