Italy to receive €1.2 billion from EU Solidarity Fund

25/10/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 25 October, the European Commission announced that Italy would be receiving €1.2 billion from the European Union Solidarity Fund (EUSF) in the next few days, following a European Commission proposal in June in response to the raft of earthquakes that have hit the country.  The Commission also announced the first early payment of around €135,000 to Greece (of a total of some €1.35 million, according to calculations by the Greek authorities),...
