Annual inflation rate stable at 1.5% in Eurozone in September

The annual inflation rate in the Eurozone stood at 1.5% in September, the same rate as in August (see EUROPE 11852), according to figures reported by the statistical office of the European Union (Eurostat) on Tuesday 17 October.

At EU level, the annual inflation rate was 1.8% (+0.1 points on August).

These figures are up compared to September 2016, when the annual inflation rate stood at 0.4% for both the European Union and the Eurozone.
