Transport & Environment calls for rapid adoption of European lorry update standards

Transport & Environment, a European organisation calling for greener transport, called on the European Commission in a press release on Tuesday 26 September to speed up the updating of lorries in Europe and facilitate the penetration of new technology on the market.

This is a classic case of market failure, commented Stef Cornelis, head of clean lorries for T&E, explaining that technology that has been on the market for more than five years on average is only deployed in 15% of lorries. ...
