Commission proposes €3.3 million from EGF for Almaviva Contact workers

26/09/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 26 September, the European Commission suggested releasing €3.3 million from the Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) for workers at the Almaviva Contact call centre in Italy.  Italy made the request to finance the re-skilling of the 1,610 redundant workers through training, help in seeking employment and entrepreneurship.  The Commission says the aid and co-financing will together total €5.5 million.  The proposal will now go to the European...
