EU allocates €3 million for Rohingya Muslims in Bangladesh and Burma

The European Commission has announced that the EU has released €3 million in emergency humanitarian assistance for the Rohingya Muslims in Bangladesh and Rakhine State in Burma/Myanmar.

This additional assistance should enable the most urgent needs (shelter, water and medical assistance) to be met of these vulnerable people in Rakhine State, as soon as humanitarian access is ensured.  It should also enable Bangladesh to be supported in assisting new refugees fleeing there.
