13/07/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 13 July, the European Commission authorised aid of €19 million from Slovakia to the company Mondi SCP to help the company start up in an existing factory in Ružomberok the manufacture of sheets for corrugated cardboard. Ružomberok is in a region eligible for regional aid and the company is planning to create 105 direct jobs. The Commission says that without the financial support from the Slovak authorities, Mondi SCP would have made the investment in a location outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Under the Commission’s state aid guidelines for regional aid, it says that the measure complies with EU state aid rules. (LT)
