European ministers responsible for the integrated maritime policy, meeting informally in Valletta on Thursday 20 April, adopted a declaration calling for efforts on “blue growth” to be continued.
They recognise that progress has been made since the launch of the strategy on blue growth in 2012. They stress the need for efforts to be continued to improve investment and jobs, maintain a safe maritime space and a healthy marine environment, and improve governance of the sea.
