Faced with us protectionist threat, Malmström urges European Parliament to implement CETA

Ahead of the recommendations vote by the European Parliament’s International Trade Committee for Parliament to agree on the provisional implementation of the EU/Canada free-trade agreement (CETA) on Tuesday 24 January, Trade Commissioner, Cecilia Malmström, informed MEPs at the parliamentary committee on Monday, 23 January that implementation of CETA represented an opportunity to counter the protectionist project of the new US president, Donald Trump.
