CEMR says third of new European Parliament presidency held local/regional office

Five of the newly elected vice-presidents of the European Parliament – roughly 35% – have in the past held local or regional office, a brief study published on Thursday 19 January by the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) has revealed.
