05/12/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 5 December, MEPs at the European Parliament’s transport and tourism committee approved the common position of the Council of the EU on the political pillar of the 4th railway package (see EUROPE 11647). The common position focuses on the particularly controversial regulation (see other article) involving the allocation of public service contracts, the directive on railway infrastructure governance and the regulation on common rules for standardising corporate accounting.
