05/12/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 30 November in Milan, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) awarded a number of DesignEuropa competition prizes to a number of projects for design and design management. The Flap sound-absorbing panel, by Caimi Brevetti, won the Small and Emerging Companies category; the Thule Urban Glide jogging stroller by Thule IP AB won the Industry category. The winner of the Lifetime Achievement award was Giorgetto Giugiaro. DesignEuropa seeks to recognise achievements for design management among EUIPO Registered Community Design (RCD) holders. The organisation explained that the project was launched in February 2016 and seeks to become “one of the most prestigious prizes for design”. (PH)
