Adopting a common resolution of the EFDD, S&D, ECR, ALDE, EPP and Greens/EFA Groups on Thursday 27 October, the European Parliament called on the Turkish authorities to release the journalists and media professionals arrested without irrefutable proof of criminal activity. Some 130 journalists are in prison in Turkey, which detains more journalists than anywhere else in the world.
