The European Court of Auditors said on Thursday 27 October that the information available did not allow the Commission to assess adequately the effectiveness of cross‑compliance on direct agricultural aid.
“Despite the changes introduced for the CAP for the period 2014–2020, the cross‑compliance management and control system can still be simplified”, the Court said in its report.
