Venice Commission calls for parliamentary immunity to be re-established

"Parliamentary immunity in Turkey must not be weakened but strengthened, particularly to ensure the freedom of expression of members of Parliament", the Council of Europe's Commission for Democracy through Law (the Venice Commission) stated in an opinion published on Saturday 15 October.
