Eurozone and EU inflation rate rises to 0.4% in September

The annual inflation rate in the eurozone and the European Union stood at 0.4% in September 2016, compared to 0.2% in August for the eurozone and 0.3% in the EU, according to figures published by the statistical office of the EU (Eurostat).

In September, negative annual rates were observed in 10 member states: Bulgaria (-1.1%), Croatia (-0.7%), Slovakia (-0.5%), Cyprus (-0.4%) Denmark and Ireland (-0.3%), Poland (-0.2%), and Greece, the Netherlands and Romania (-0.1%). Inflation was zero in...
