European support reaffirmed along with promises of increased financial aid

In Luxembourg on Monday, the Council of the EU approved the guidelines proposed at the end of September by the EU high representative for foreign affairs and security policy and the European Commission in a joint communication entitled "Strengthening EU Support for Tunisia" and seeking to develop a commitment in different negotiations, particularly those on free trade (see EUROPE 11635, 11646).
