Technical interinstitutional talks on draft firearms directive

30/09/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 30 September, representatives of the Council of the EU, the European Parliament and the European Commission held a second meeting of the draft firearms directive under interinstitutional talks.  The meeting examined technical issues with the aim of clearing the path for points on which consensus can be swiftly reached.  The Parliament and Council  clashed over a number of issues, such as the scope of application of the directive when it comes to...
