Gerard Kiely becomes new Head of Representation in Dublin

30/09/2016 (Agence Europe) – With effect from 1 October, Gerard Kiely will be the new Head of the Commission Representation in Dublin. Kiely, who worked for the Irish Farmers' Association for eight years, joined the European civil service in 1989. He was made spokesperson to the Commissioners for Agriculture Ray MacSharry, René Steichen and Franz Fischler, a position he held until 1999. From 2000 to 2003, he was head of the 'agriculture, food safety, consumer affairs and fisheries'...
