Brussels, 07/06/2016 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament supports the ratification by the European Union of the protocol of the WHO to eliminate the illegal trade in tobacco products. It decided this on Tuesday 7 June by 633 votes in favour, 11 against and 14 abstentions. Once the Council has given its green light, the EU will become the 18th Party to this instrument, which requires a total of 40 ratifications in order to enter into force.
