12/05/2015 (Agence Europe) - Reunification talks to restart on 15 May. Negotiations on the reunification of Cyprus will resume on 15 May United Nations Special Envoy Espen Barth Eide announced on 11 May, following the meeting between Greek Cypriot leader Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci. “The leaders expressed their strong commitment, joint commitment to move forward in a constructive and dedicated manner and for that reason they agreed to hold the first leader's meeting on Friday the 15th of May to go through a general exchange of views and to agree on the modalities for the structuring and the frequency of the meetings”, Eide said in a press release. Talks have been on hold since October. (CG)
