Brussels, 06/02/2015 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 6 February, the European External Action Service (EEAS) confirmed that the high level dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina will resume on Monday 9 February (see EUROPE 11235). Serbia's Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and his Kosovan counterpart Isa Mustafa will thus meet in Brussels during the evening for a meeting with High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini. “The two prime ministers will take stock of the progress in the dialogue so far and exchange views on the way forward in the normalisation process” of relations between Serbia and Kosovo, the EEAS stated.
This is the first high level meetings since the formation of the new Serbian and Kosovan governments, and since Mogherini took up her post as high representative. The last high level discussions, which focused on justice, took place last spring between Catherine Ashton and the former Serbian and Kosovan prime ministers, Ivica Dacic and Hashim Thaci - who have since both become the foreign affairs minister of their country. The meeting on 9 February will also be the first between Mogherini and Mustafa. (CG)
