Under an agreement between the EU and Norway on the shared stocks in the North Sea, which was announced on Friday 5 December, the catch limits for 2015 for cod, haddock and plaice have been increased by 5% (24,227 tonnes for the EU), 7% (33,948 tonnes) and 15% (119,690 tonnes for the EU). Total allowable catch has been reduced by 15% for saithe (31,383 tonnes) and whiting (13,060 tonnes, for the EU). (LC) .
