06/06/2014 (Agence Europe) - G7 calls on Israelis and Palestinians to resume negotiations. Regretting the lack of further progress by the Israelis and Palestinians in the Middle East peace process, the G7 committed the parties, on Thursday 5 June, to “find the common ground and political strength needed to resume the process”. The leaders called on both sides to exercise maximum restraint and to avoid any unilateral action which may further undermine peace efforts and affect the viability of a two-state solution. “A negotiated two-state solution remains the only way to resolve the conflict”, they reiterated, fully supporting the US efforts.
