Brussels, 06/12/2013 (Agence Europe) - On Saturday 7 December, a delegation of four MEPs from the European People's Party (EPP) will travel to Ukraine to express “the support of the EPP family for the Ukrainian people and their European aspirations in the light of the Euromaidan protests”, said a press release. The chair of the European Parliament's foreign affairs committee, Elmar Brok (Germany), the vice-president of the EPP and chairman of the EPP Group in the Euronest Assembly, Jacek Saryusz-Wolski (Poland), the former president of the European Parliament, Jerzy Buzek (Poland), and the coordinator of the EPP Group on foreign affairs, José Ignacio Salafranca (Spain) will meet the leaders of the EPP observer member parties, Vitali Klitschko (Udar) and Arseniy Yatsenyuk (Batkivshchyna). They will also meet with the daughter of former prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko, Eugenia, and wounded protesters who are in hospital in Kiev. (CG/transl.fl)
