EU to invest €20 million in adaptation measures for Pacific Islands

Brussels, 06/09/2013 (Agence Europe) - At the meeting of the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) in the Marshall Islands, which concluded on Thursday 5 September with the Majuro Declaration in favour of the region taking the lead in fighting climate change, the European Union and the Pacific States confirmed their joint desire to step up their alliance to fight a phenomenon to which the small island states of the region are particularly vulnerable.
