Brussels, 10/07/2013 (Agence Europe) - Following Croatia's membership of the EU, Sinisa Rodin and Vesna Tomljenovic were appointed as judges on 1 July at the Court of Justice (from 1 July 2013 until 6 October 2015) and at the General Court (from 1 July 2013 until 31 August 2013) respectively. They took the oath during an official hearing of the Court of Justice on 4 July. Rodin has held the Jean Monnet Chair since 2006, and was head of the working group on Croatia's accession to the EU until 2010 and a member of the committee that negotiated this accession from 2006 to 2011. Tomljenovic is a professor in the faculty of law at the University of Rijeka, assistant professor at the faculty of economics at the same university, and president of the Croatian comparative law association (2006-2013).
