Brussels, 10/07/2013 (Agence Europe) - Visiting Chisinau on 9 July, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton highlighted Moldova's “real progress” on trade, visas and “all elements of a strong relationship with the European Union”. “I believe that the Vilnius summit on Eastern Partnership in November will be a real opportunity to celebrate the strength of this relationship, including [in moving towards] signature of the association agreement”, Ashton said at the end of a meeting with Moldova's Prime Minister Iurie Leanca. Ashton said that issues remain to be resolved and this involves continuing the reform process. She also reiterated the importance of finding a solution to the Transnistria issue. (CG/transl.fl)
