Brussels, 21/11/2011 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 29 November, Maja Kocijancic, the spokesperson to the high representative of the EU for foreign affairs, spoke out against the violence in Kosovo between Serbian demonstrators and the NATO force in Kosovo (Kfor), 25 of whose soldiers were injured. She pointed out that the EU has “repeatedly stressed that recourse to violence is never a solution. The solution must be reached by dialogue”.
Kocijancic pointed out that new talks between Kosovo and Serbia are to resume on Wednesday 30 November. The situation between Kosovo and Serbia and the granting of candidate status to Serbia, which is linked to progress in dialogue, will also be discussed at the Foreign Affairs Council on 1 December and the General Affairs Council on 5 December.
