Brussels, 14/11/2011 (Agence Europe) - In separate meetings in Jerusalem on 14 November, envoys of the Quartet and its representative, Tony Blair, met Israeli and Palestinian representatives to follow up on the statement of the Quartet of 23 September and meetings of 26 October on the resumption of direct negotiations, “without delay or preconditions”, between Israel and Palestine. The envoys once again discussed the development of the proposals put forward by both sides on the territory and security. As per the declaration of September and the October meetings, the emissaries of the Quartet called upon them to “create a conducive environment for restarting talks” and to abstain from any provocative actions. A further follow-up meeting will take place in December. (CG/transl.fl)
