Luxembourg, 12/04/2011 (Agence Europe) - Another Council of home affairs ministers has been organised for 12 May, as indicated last week by a number of different sources. On Monday 11 April in Luxembourg, the Hungarian Presidency of the EU confirmed this event, which will focus on how to help Tunisia stem the flow of its nationals to the EU and how to enhance Frontex agency activities. This Council is also expected to provide an occasion for Commissioner Cecilia Malmström to give ministers an initial insight into the proposals that she will be submitting to the European summit in June. A regular JHA Council will also take place at the beginning of June. This has been planned for some time now and is expected to provide ministers with the opportunity of further discussing the Commission's proposals. In their conclusions on Monday 11 April, EU member states took note of the Hungarian Presidency's willingness to organise another special Council of home affairs ministers, “if necessary” and depending on how the situation develops.
