ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) business schools

FT league table of best schools. - For the fifth year in a row, the HEC School in Paris is considered the best business school in the European league table published at the beginning of December by the Financial Times. Performance is even more significant because it involves a general ranking from the results obtained by the different business schools in several programme groups: MBAs, Executive MBAs, Masters programmes and management training (tailor-made inter-firm work experience cycles). Teaching-related considerations can be added to these criteria (number of women on courses, international teachers, number of those holding a Ph.D-level qualification). The London Business School (United Kingdom) is in second place, in third, Insead (France/Singapore), fourth IMD (Switzerland), fifth IE (Spain), and sixth, the Rotterdam School of Management - Erasmus University (Netherlands), seventh, ESCP Europe (France/ United Kingdom/ Germany/ Italy/ and Spain), eighth ESADE (Spain), ninth IESE (Spain), tenth EM Lyon (France). This ranking demonstrates significant stability: with regard to the top schools, this hierarchy has barely changed for the last three years, only the ESCP Europe has made significant progress and has risen from 12th to 7th place. The business school rankings also underline Spanish strength in this area, with three of their institutions in the top ten. (I.L./transl.fl)
