Brussels, 04/11/2010 (Agence Europe) - Tunisia has announced that it has joined the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), a one-stop shop, set up by the European Commission, to help small firms make the most of business opportunities. Tunisia is the first country from the Maghreb and the second from Africa to join the network, the role of which is to increase firms' competitiveness and support their development internationally and especially the Euro-Mediterranean area, according to the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA). FIPA is the lead body in the consortium of intermediary and support organisations for Tunisian businesses providing assistance and advice services and helping to find innovation and technology transfer partner companies.
