Brussels, 04/11/2010 (Agence Europe) - The European Development Days (EDD), which will take place in Brussels on 6 and 7 December, will this year be devoted to adapting and improving development aid in response to the new realities in Europe and across the globe.
On the agenda for this international gathering will be food security, access to energy, health policy, the effectiveness of aid, the place that development has in the European External Action Service (EEAS) which was set up by the Lisbon Treaty, and governance.
The European Commission, which is jointly organising this political dialogue forum with the Belgian Presidency, announced the event on Wednesday 3 November, when press registration was opened.
The EDD will take place at the same time as the UN climate conference in Cancun and six days after the third EU-Africa summit in Tripoli (29-30 November).
