04/11/2010 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has just put a proposal for a directive to the European Parliament and the Council seeking to bring together all the provisions on roll-over protection structures mounted in front of the driver's seat in narrow-track wheeled agricultural and forestry tractors. The proposal is looking to bring the provisions contained in Directive 87/402/EC on these structures and the various amendments undergone over time into one single text. The new directive fully preserves the content of the provisions currently in force and will make only the formal amendments that are required by the codification itself.
