14/09/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 13 September, the Council of the EU approved, without debate, the European Commission proposal to extend by one year, to 28 September 2011, the derogation to the regulation on the airworthiness of aircraft and aeronautical products (Regulation 2042/2003). This derogation may be applied to small private aircraft (except those used to carry freight) and touches on rules for certifying staff of maintenance organisations. (A.By./transl.rt)
