14/09/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 14 September, European Internal Market Commissioner Michel Barnier signed a memorandum of understanding on access by dyslexic and visually impaired readers to works of literature. The agreement provides for a system which facilitates distribution throughout the EU of works in a more accessible format, such as books in Braille and audio books. This is one of the aims of the digital Europe strategy (see EUROPE 10142). (M.B./transl.rt)
