23/03/2010 (Agence Europe) - The General Affairs Council in Brussels on Monday 22 March adopted two decisions mobilising a total sum of €1.9 million under the EU's globalisation adjustment fund (EGF), to provide support for workers made redundant in the furniture and clothing manufacturing sectors in Lithuania. €662,000 was earmarked for former workers in the Lithuanian furniture manufacturing sector and €523,000 for those from the clothing sector (see EUROPE 10067).
