23/03/2010 (Agence Europe) - On 18 March, the European Commission sent Portugal a reasoned opinion for incorrectly implementing EU rules prohibiting discrimination based on religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation in employment and occupation (Directive 2000/78/EC). At the same time, the Commission closed the infringement case against Lithuania, which has amended its national legislation to bring it into line with European rules. (G.B./transl.rt)
