22/02/2010 (Agence Europe) - European and Central American negotiators resumed talks in Brussels on Monday 22 February on an association agreement between the EU and Central America (Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and El Salvador; Panama has observer status) that have been suspended since the coup d'état in Honduras in June 2009. In addition to this 4-day meeting and with discussions at a very advanced stage, the parties, determined to conclude talks as quickly as possible, have agreed to meet again at the end of March for discussions devoted to trade negotiations, then in April for talks on the three pillars of the agreement, political dialogue, cooperation and free trade.
