11/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Italian Vice-Presidents of the European Parliament, Renzo Imbeni and Guido Podestà, along with the other Italian MEPs, will be meeting on 12 March at the European Parliament in Strasbourg at the Conference or Presidents of the Italian Regional Councils and Autonomous Provinces. The conference co-ordinator, Roberto Louvin, President of the Regional Council of Val d'Aosta, said that the meeting aimed to stress the significant contribution that co-operation between the European Parliament, national and regional parliaments could play in terms of the current process of reforming Europe. The areas to be covered include the priorities of the Convention on the Future of Europe and the participation of regional parliaments in COSAC's work (the Conference of bodies specialised in Community affairs made up of EP representatives and members of national parliamentary committees).
