03/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - The University of Montreal is organising for 17 September in Montreal (Canada) a seminar on the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, which will be compared to the North American instruments for the protection of human rights. Among those taking the floor there will be: - Pierre Michaud, Chief Judge in Quebec; - Melchior Watelet, Judge at the EU Court of Justice; - Jean-Paul Jacqué, Director of the EU Council legal services; - Hans Christian Krüger, Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe; - Micheline Galabert, former President of the Association of Women of southern Europe; - and Marc Fischbach, Judge at the European Court of Human Rights.
